The School Safety Advocacy Council is dedicated to assisting school districts, colleges and universities and law enforcement agencies in their continuing efforts to improve school safety and student achievement. Custom Designed Training
The School Safety Advocacy Council offers fully customized training solutions in order to address the specific school safety needs and learning objectives of our clients. We understand that every school and its school safety training needs are unique, and many communities today want a more highly customized training program for improving school safety, emergency management, school resource officer program, active shooter preparation and response, and school lock-downs. Our training specialists will evaluate your training needs and design a course or workshop specifically for your organization and staff.
Starting with conversations between our training specialists and your key stakeholders, we will build your training from the ground up. We’ll work to identify and understand your training objectives and goals. From there, we’ll select the specific skills, strategies and the appropriate delivery style to accomplish the objectives, develop the content, incorporate your culture, design practical exercises for active participation and provide follow-up coaching.
STEP 1: ANALYSIS OF NEEDS
Your training specialist will guide you every step of the way to build a successful training experience for you, your participants and your organization! Time frames and deadlines…your organization’s culture…details about the participants…delivery style…and, most importantly, the training outcome you desire are all an integral part of this process.
STEP 2: IDENTIFY TOPICS AND CONTENT
Based on your school safety needs and objectives, our team will develop a training solution inclusive of the appropriate training topics and content.
STEP 3: DEVELOP CUSTOM CONTENT
Our team of instructional designers will customize a school safety program by developing customized content, examples, exercises and activities specifically for your agency or district.

Our Trainers
All certified School Safety Advocacy Council trainers are professionals in the field of school safety and deliver a wide variety of learning experiences in each training program. Our certified trainers are skilled in delivering traditional, interactive and experiential learning. By guiding, supporting and integrating exercises and activities into the program, learning takes place in a highly participatory manner. In turn, this interactive/participatory delivery style helps people learn faster, alter their perspective and readily transfer and sustain the skills, techniques and strategies learned in the program to their daily responsibilities.
Our trainers are subject matter experts who work in the field on a daily basis and keep up to date on national best practices in their respective fields as well as in the area of training and development. They’re skilled professionals who provide real life and relevant experience to every presentation.
Hosting a Training Class
Our open-enrollment training courses are delivered in partnership with school districts, law enforcement agencies and colleges and universities throughout the United States. The local host will select the training course and dates, provide the training facility, and market the class locally. The School Safety Advocacy Council will provide the certified instructors and class materials, manage registrations, and market the course nationally.
